Gardening Experience: Intermediate

We live in Roodepoort Ruimsig, on a small holding. We home-school our three children (soon to be 4) and are looking to become self sufficient over time. We are also using the vegetable patch as part of their nature study.

I would also like to grow my own herbs for medicinal uses - this might be a long stretch away, but these are my hopes.

I'm not sure the soil is ideal, but it seems to be inundated with earth worms. I also have a critter that pops in for a visit every now and then and I am not too sure what organic method I can use to eradicate moles.
